Known for his “creative wizardry”, Anthony Marwood is a regular at Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne.  For this special occasion, the academy’s outgoing Artistic Director Paul Dean composed his violin concerto for Anthony and the ANAM orchestra, to be premiered on 4 December 2015. The programme also includes Britten Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge and Beethoven Symphony no 7. After a national tour with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and appearances as soloist and/or director with the Sydney, Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphonies, this is Anthony’s third visit to Australia within a year.

In early 2016 Anthony’s busy schedule continues with play/direct projects with the St. Louis Symphony and Tapiola Sinfonietta, as well as performing Thomas Ades’ violin concerto with the New World Symphony (Florida).
