Christopher Moulds leads the multi-faceted world of Purcell’s only complete opera, and the oldest love story in English opera, Dido & Aeneas, at the Teatro Colón this June. Together with musicians of the Akademie für Alte Musik, the Vocalconsort Berlin and sixty dancers, this fascinating story of antiquity is brought to life in a visually engaging production by choreographer Sasha Waltz.

The revival follows a series of performances at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg and the Sydney Festival, with Aurore Ugolin as Dido, and Reuben Willcox as Aeneas.

Performances at the Teatro Colón take place between 7 and 12 June 2016.
