The fifteenth Oxford Lieder Festival opens on 14th October 2016, with a programme celebrating the work and influence of Robert Schumann. A number of Hazard Chase singers are appearing alongside festival founder Sholto Kynoch:

William Dazeley and Katherine Watson perform ‘Spring of Love’ on 19 October.

James Gilchrist performs on 21 October with Oxford Bach Soloists, on 27 October with Anna Tilbrook and on 28 October with Ensemble ISIS.

Sophie Daneman gives a masterclass for young singers on 25 October, and performs ‘Songs of the Young’ including new work by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, on 27 October.

Daniel Norman presents ‘The Curious Laboratory of Song’, a workshop for families, on 26 October.

Finally, James Gilchrist and Kitty Whately perform in the closing concert of the Festival on 29 October, featuring Schumann’s ‘Minnespiel’ and ‘Spanische Liebeslieder’.
