Hazard Chase is delighted to welcome Alexander Liebreich to its conductor roster for worldwide general management.

Alexander Liebreich is in his fourth season as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the first foreign conductor to hold this position. He is also Artistic Director of Katowice Kultura Natura Festival.

As one of Germany’s foremost conductors Alexander Liebreich’s extensive career takes him around the world. As guest conductor he has worked with many prestigious orchestras including the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Munich Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra  Stuttgart, Dresden Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Sao Paulo Symphony, Osaka Philharmonic and NHK Symphony Orchestra. He recently made debuts with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and Brno Philharmonic Orchestra.

Alexander Liebreich, was born in Regensburg and studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the Salzburg Mozarteum and gained much of his early artistic experience with both Claudio Abbado and Michael Gielen. After he was awarded the Kirill Kondraschin Conducting Competition Prize by a jury that included Sir Edward Downes and Peter Eötvös, Alexander Liebreich was appointed assistant to Edo de Waart at the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
