Each year on his birthday Stephen appears at the helm of his choir Polyphony and one of London’s finest orchestras conducting this ‘must hear’ performance of Handel’s Messiah at the St John’s Smith Square Christmas Festival. This year is particularly special as he celebrates his 50th Birthday on the podium. Not only this but Polyphony celebrates thirty years this autumn – they gave their first ever concert in Kings College Chapel in 1986.  Before this, Stephen is taking the Messiah around the world, conducting the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Perth, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Singers in Adelaide, and the Seattle Symphony and Chorale in Seattle – all in the space of three weeks.
