In 2017, tenor James Gilchrist and pianist Anna Tilbrook celebrate twenty years of musical partnership with a number of recitals across the country. The duo have recently performed at Wells Cathedral School, Winchester and Eton colleges, the Oxford Lieder, Three Choirs, Buxton, Cheltenham Music, Lammermuir, Cambridge Early Music, Hay Music and Roman River Festivals, as well as St John’s Smith Square and the Wigmore Hall.

James and Anna’s joint discography includes a series of acclaimed recordings of English song featuring the composers Vaughan Williams, Gurney, Finzi, Lennox Berkeley and Benjamin Britten, as well as Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin, (Editor’s Choice in Gramophone) Schwanengesang with Beethoven’s An die Ferne Geliebte, and Winterreise (BBC Music Magazine Christmas Disc). They also recently released the Schumann Song Cycles.
