Andrew Tyson is a laureate of the Leeds International Piano Competition where he won the new Terence Judd-Hallé Orchestra Prize, awarded by the orchestra and conductor Sir Mark Elder. He has since performed regularly with the Hallé Orchestra and this month sees Andrew return for two sets of concerts.
Under the baton of James Feddeck, Andrew joins the orchestra for a Slavic-themed programme, performing Rachmininov’s Paganini Variations in Manchester and Blackburn between 17 and 21 May. Returning to the orchestra the following week, he performs Grieg’s Piano Concerto with Rory Macdonald at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham.
Andrew meets the orchestra again in July 2017, performing Rachmaninov’s Paganini Variations at the Lichfield Festival under Ryan Wigglesworth.
