Mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately has been deemed ‘outstanding’ and ‘impassioned’ in her role debut as Sesto in English Touring Opera’s production of Giulio Cesare. Conducted by Jonathan Peter Kenny in a production by ETO’s General Director James Conway.  The cast includes Soraya Mafi as Cleopatra, Catherine Carby as Cornelia and Christopher Ainslie in the title role.

Giulio Cesare opened at the Hackney Empire in London and tours throughout the UK this autumn. Later this season Kitty will make her Royal Opera House debut singing the role of Coraline’s Mother in the world premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Coraline, and will return to Opera Holland Park as Dorabella Cosi fan tutte.
