Masaaki Suzuki returns to Canada to conduct the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal on November 21st and 23rd at the Maison Symphonique de Montréal. For the concert ‘The Magnificence of Bach and Mozart’, he will be joined by soloists Martin Fröst performing Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major and Timothy Hutchins, the orchestra’s principal flute, performing Bach’s Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B minor. This concert is part of the Montréal Bach Festival.

 

Suzuki also participates as a grand jury member in the OSM Manulife Competition for the final of the woodwind, voice and brass categories.

Suzuki will then lead his own ensemble Bach Collegium Japan across the USA performing Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with concerts 4 – 10 December in Ann Arbor, New Haven, New York, Orange County and San Francisco.
