Hazard Chase is delighted to welcome tenor Gareth Dafydd Morris to its roster with immediate effect. Gareth studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and at the Royal Academy of Music and is currently contracted to Welsh National Opera. In 2015 he was runner up in the Wagner Society’s Singing Competition and won the President’s Award, given by Dame Gwyneth Jones.

Recent roles at WNO include Cherevin and off-stage voice in From the House of the Dead, Streshnev in Khovanshchina, Kaherdin in Le Vin Herbe and Faninal’s Major Domo in Der Rosenkavalier. Recent roles elsewhere include Triquet Eugene Onegin for Opera Holland Park, Borsa Rigoletto, Bardolfo Falstaff and 1st Servant Capriccio all for Grange Park Opera.

Gareth has an extensive concert repertoire which covers from all the major Bach Passions to Verdi Requiem. Future performances include Messiah in Taunton, Cardiff and Swansea, Carmina Burana and Schubert Mass in Eb both in London.
