Soprano Ellie Laugharne makes her debut as Phyllis in Gilbert & Sullivan’s satirical fantasy Iolanthe with English National Opera. Ellie returns to ENO alongside a cast that includes Marcus Farnsworth as Strephon, Samantha Price as Iolanthe, and Andrew Shore as the Lord Chancellor, conducted by Timothy Henty and Chris Hopkins.

The production, directed by Cal McCrystal will open on Tuesday 13th February, with performances running until 7th April. Later this season, Ellie will return to Classical Opera to sing Temperantia in Haydn’s rarely performed one-act cantata Applausus.
