Grant Llewellyn performs Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet with North Carolina Symphony Orchestra and UNC School of Arts in a unique, semi-staged theatrical production that’s never been seen before.

As Music Director of North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, Llewellyn has chosen a varied programme that includes the works of Berlioz, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Sibelius and Wagner to accompany the play.

Grant Llewellyn says:

“Romeo and Juliet has inspired so much great music from so many of our finest composers … we were not looking just for beautiful concert music to reflect the play, but needed to get the right balance of words and music, so as to enhance the play rather than distract from it.”
