Hyeyoon Park, Benjamin Grosvenor, Timothy Ridout, Kian Soltani and Leon Bosch join forces to perform a programme of key chamber works at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on Tuesday 29th May at 19:30. Featuring Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A major ‘The Trout’ and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No.1 in G major, this concert concludes a short tour of performances, including Norwich & Norfolk Festival, Birmingham Town Hall and ‘Musik im Riesen’ Festival in Austria. The programme also includes Bartok’s Rhapsody No.1 and Schubert’s ‘Notturno’ for Piano Trio in E-flat major.

Following the recent concert in Norwich, the Eastern Daily Press noted: “Always responsive to every detail in the score and making light of technicalities, the musicians clearly enjoyed playing together, and the audience was able to share their pleasure. Inventive and high-spirited, but not too serious, the variations on the Trout theme came as a perfectly natural happy conclusion. Quieter and more reflective, Bartok’s First Rhapsody had a link through Hungarian folksong with Brahms’ typically substantial First Piano Quartet. Again ensemble throughout was as impressive as the commitment. Setting off at top speed, the finale maintained its pace and pulsating dance rhythm to the end. Breathtaking!

The London concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, with the recording subsequently available on BBC iPlayer for 30 days.
