Andrew Tyson makes his Japanese debut performing at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo on July 21st and 22nd. Under the baton of fellow American Edwin Outwater, Tyson performs Bernstein’s Second Symphony ‘The Age of Anxiety’ at Sapporo’s ‘Kitara’ Hall as part of an all Bernstein programme in celebration of his centennial birthday.

The concert opens with Bernstein’s Fancy Free and Serenade after Plato’s “Symposium” with Midori Goto on violin.

The Pacific Music Festival (PMF) is an international educational music festival founded in Sapporo by leading 20th century conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein, along with the London Symphony Orchestra, in 1990.
