This Friday will see Stephen Layton making his debut at the prestigious Festival International de Lanaudière, in Montreal, conducting a selection of Karl Jenkins’ works, including Palladio, Gloria and the revered Armed Man. Stephen Layton will be joined by soprano, Ève Dessureault, for this ‘Peace’ concert, which will be held in the festival’s Amphithéâtre Fernand-Lindsay.

Layton has enjoyed a busy summer so far, with appearances in Poland with the NFM Wroclaw Choir; in Slovenia with the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir; and in Germany as part of a tour with The Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge. On his return from Canada, Stephen Layton heads to Latvia for a project with the Latvian State Choir which will see him conducting repertoire by Poulenc, Esenvalds and Franck.
