The first album of Owain Park’s music is released on the Hyperion label, sung by Trinity College Choir Cambridge under the baton of Stephen Layton. The CD contains 15 original compositions by Park.

Hyperion writes: “As John Rutter (Owain Park’s erstwhile teacher) shrewdly notes in the booklet, Park is one of a new generation of composers whose voice has been informed by music of many styles, traditions and periods. This is indeed music ‘for us all to enjoy as listeners’.”

Owain Park was formerly Senior Organ Scholar at Trinity College Cambridge. His compositions are published by Novello and have been performed internationally by ensembles including the Tallis Scholars, the Aurora Ensemble and Park’s own choir, the Gesualdo Six.

As well as being Director of Music at Trinity College Choir, Stephen Layton conducts Polyphony and the Holsts Singers. He also collaborates regularly with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Academy of Ancient Music, Britten Sinfonia, the BBC Singers and many European Radio choirs.
