Andrew Tyson begins his visit to Asia this week, returning to Japan to perform with the Osaka Symphony Orchestra before continuing on to Tokyo to give a recital at Musashino Civic Cultural Hall.

Conducted by Jonathan Heyward, Tyson takes the soloist’s part in Bernstein’s Symphony No.2 ‘The Age of Anxiety’ at Osaka Symphony Hall on October 11th in a programme celebrating Bernstein’s centennial birthday. The programme also includes Bernstein’s ‘Slava!’ and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5 in D minor.

On October 15th, Tyson journeys to Tokyo for a sold out recital at Musashino Civic Cultural Hall, where he presents an eclectic programme of Albeniz, Liszt, Mompou, Ravel and Scarlatti.

Tyson then makes his debut in China with recitals at the Shanghai Concert Hall on October 21st and Shenzhen’s Concert Hall on October 27th highlighting the same composers.
