In the UK
Over the course of the coming three weeks Benjamin Grosvenor can be seen and heard with major orchestras across the country. Together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Alondra de la Parra he will bring Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 to Cardiff’s St David’s Hall, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 to Basingstoke’s Anvil, the Brighton Dome, as well as London’s Royal Festival Hall this week. Following this he makes a welcome return to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with whom he performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, K467 in Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent on 25th and 26th October under the baton of Vassily Sinaisky.
Travelling further north Benjamin finally joins the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and their Principal Guest Conductor Elim Chan, as they offer audiences in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee a programme including Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the beginning of November. Additionally Benjamin will perform Schubert’s Trout Quintet and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 1 with members of the orchestra as part of the RSNO’s Sunday afternoon Chamber Series.
