Hazard Chase is very pleased to welcome conductor Gabriella Teychenné to our roster for worldwide general management.

Currently a member of the Equilibrium Young Artists scheme, Gabriella works closely alongside its creator Barbara Hannigan. She has also been mentored by, and worked as assistant conductor to, Vladimir Jurowski, who calls her “not only musical, she is radically passionate about the music. Music means the world to her and her passion is infectious, and as a conductor she can convince others to follow her along this path”.

Born in England in 1993, Gabriella began her musical studies as a violinist at an early age. As an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge, she read Political Philosophy, following which she pursued a Master’s degree in Violin and Conducting at the Royal College of Music, and an Artist Diploma in Conducting at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. She has been taught in masterclasses by Paavo Järvi, Neeme Järvi, Colin Metters, and Mark Heron, and is generously supported by Help Musicians UK Foundation.

In the 2018-2019 season Gabriella debuts with the Residentie Orkest The Hague conducting Mozart’s Requiem, and participates in showcases and workshops with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Orchestre de Picardie.
