Pianist Andrew Tyson returns to Australia this week to perform at the Musica Viva Festival in Sydney. Performing a variety of solo repertoire as well as chamber music, Tyson features in 5 concerts at the Festival, with his first performance on April 25th and concluding with his final performance on April 28th. Tyson’s solo repertoire includes works by Berg, Poulenc, Chopin and Ravel and he is also joining forces with the Goldner String Quartet to perform Franck’s Piano Quintet in F Minor. In addition, Tyson is performing alongside the Dover String Quartet and double bassist, Edgar Meyer, to perform Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A Major “The Trout”, as well as featuring beside violinist, Dimity Hall, and cellist, Julian Smiles, to perform Mozart’s Piano Trio in E Major.
