Christian Kluxen will conduct the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in his home town of Copenhagen this Thursday and Friday. Kluxen takes the podium as a last-minute replacement for Yuri Temirkanov who has unfortunately had to withdraw from the concerts.
The young Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniță will join Christian as the soloist for Dvořák’s dramatic Cello Concerto. This will be followed by Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, a piece which Christian has performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, the Arctic Philharmonic and the Copenhagen Philharmonic.
