On Friday 14th June, Alexander Liebreich is conducting his final concert as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2012. During his time at NOSPR, Liebreich helped secure the wonderful ‘NOSPR’ concert hall, which has now become the orchestra’s permanent home. The inaugural concert of the hall featured Liebreich conducting Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 with Krystian Zimerman. Liebreich was also the Artistic Director of the festival “Katowice Kultura Natura” during his time at NOSPR.

This farewell concert includes the Polish premiere of Unsuk Chin’s Violin Concerto performed by Viviane Hagner, the concerto’s dedicatee, and concludes with Anton Bruckner’s powerful Symphony No. 7.
