Pianist Anna Fedorova will make her debut at the International Festival de Sintra in Portugal on Friday 20th September. She will perform a solo recital at the National Palace of Queluz in Sintra, near Lisbon, forming part of the 54th edition of the festival.
The recital features an all-Chopin programme. Beginning with the Grande Valse Brillante, Anna will continue with two Nocturnes Op. 27, Fantasie in F minor Op. 49 and three Waltzes from Op. 34. In the second half of the recital, she will perform four Ballades: Op. 23, Op. 38, Op. 47 and Op. 52.
The International Festival de Sintra is held in venues around the Municipality of Sintra every year, and is now in its 54th Season. This year’s festival explores the theme ‘From the Courts to the Streets’, charting the evolution of music in Europe from the palaces and salons of the bourgeoisie, through the theatres and to the popular neighbourhoods.
