Pianist Andrew Tyson releases his 3rd recital disc on the Alpha Classics label marking an exciting beginning to the 2019/20 season. Featuring a Spanish themed programme to include works by Scarlatti, Schubert, Mompou and Albéniz, Tyson describes his new album as a programme which “synthesizes my love of Spanish music, my love of nature and my fascination with the colouristic aspects of piano playing.” The album title Landscapes takes its name from Federico Mompou’s Paisajes, which are “landscapes of the mind as much as intimate yet vivid depictions of Spain”.
