Conductor Masaaki Suzuki opens the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s 2019/20 season this week with Mendelssohn’s Elijah. Joined by soloists Carolyn Sampson, Anna Stéphany and Brenden Gunnell, the role of Elijah is taken by Christian Immler and Roderick Williams for the performances in London and Paris respectively.

Suzuki makes his Southbank debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 3rd October, followed by a concert in Paris at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées on 8th October.
