Pianist Anna Fedorova appears at the Degeerhallen in Norrköping, Sweden on Thursday 10th October, making her debut with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. She joins the orchestra and conductor Leif Segerstam to perform Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini Op. 43 as part of a programme which also includes Sibelius’ Second Symphony and Benjamin Staern’s Jubilate.
This concert forms part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Louis de Geer Concert & Congress centre. The building was designed as a paper mill in the 1950’s by Ivar Tengbom, who also designed the Stockholm Concert Hall. The former mill was transformed into a conference centre in 1994 and houses, among other things, the Degeerhallen, home of the Norrköpings Symphony Orchestra.
