This week Garrick Ohlsson will embark on a tour of Europe, giving recitals and concerto performances in several major cities.

He begins in Helsinki, appearing with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Susanna Mälkki to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major. The two concerts are on the 20th and 21st November at Helsinki’s Musiikkitalo, and also feature the orchestra in music by Busoni, Filidei and Liszt. Ohlsson’s next appearance is in Zagreb, where he performs Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Hans Graf. The concert takes place on Friday 29th November at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, and also features Brahms’ Third Symphony. To buy tickets, please click HERE.

Ohlsson then travels to Lyon to give a recital on the 4th December at the Salle Molière, appearing as part of the Piano à Lyon series. The programme will feature works by Brahms and Chopin. To find out more, please click HERE

The final stop on the tour is in Tallinn, where Ohlsson will play Chopin’s First Piano Concerto with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Olari Elts. The concert takes place on Friday 6th December at the Estonia Concert Hall. The programme will also feature music by Szpilman, Musgrave and Sibelius. To find out more, please click HERE.
