Karl-Heinz Steffens is in Spain this week for two concerts in Barcelona on 18th November at l’Auditori and in Madrid on 19th November at the Auditorio Nacional de Música with the orchestra of the Prague State Opera. He play/directs Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major, following which he takes up the baton in the second half of the programme to conduct Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9. Performing alongside Steffens are the choir Orfeón Donostiarra and soloists Vida Mikneviciute (soprano), Alena Kropáčková (mezzo), Aleš Briscein (tenor) and Edgars Ošleja (bass).
