Paula Murrihy returns to Oper Frankfurt where she was previously a member of the ensemble, to sing the title role in Fauré’s Pénélope. This rarely performed work is based on the last book of the Odyssey. Conducted by Joana Mallwitz and directed by Corinna Tetzel the cast includes Eric Laporte as Ulysse and Joanna Motulewicz as Euryclée. Performances from Sunday, December 1st through to January 23rd 2020.

Also this season Paula sings the title role in Carmen in her native Ireland with Irish National Opera, returning to North America for performances of St Matthew Passion with the Handel & Haydn Societhy, Ariodante with Boston Baroque and Beethoven Symphony no. 9 with the Orchestra of North Carolina. She makes her debut as Siébel in Faust at the Palau de les Arts Valencia in summer 2020.
