Tito Muñoz has arrived in Stuttgart for rehearsals ahead of his New Year’s Eve concert with SWR Symphonieorchester at the Liederhalle on 31st December. The programme focusses on the music of the late 19th and the 20th centuries and includes Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre, Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz No. 1, dances from Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Bernstein’s Candide overture. The concert opens with Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1, and closes with Bernstein’s homage to Boston, his Divertimento. In between, Frederic Belli, Principal Trombone of the orchestra, is the soloist in Nino Rota’s Concerto for Trombone and orchestra. The performance will be live streamed on SWRClassic.de.
