Alexander Liebreich makes his US debut this weekend, conducting the Oregon Symphony Orchestra at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland. There will be three performances, on Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th (matinee) and Monday 13th January.

Liebreich is joined by violinist Leila Josefowicz who plays John Adams’ Scheherazade.2, a violin concerto written especially for her in 2015. The second half of the concert features Ives’ The Unanswered Question and Strauss’ tone poem Also Sprach Zarathustra.
