Brilliant to see Laura van der Heijden gracing the January cover of Classical Music Magazine in an extended feature which discusses her musical education and journey so far, as well as her plans for the future.

After graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2019, van der Heijden is currently in the middle of a very busy 2019/20 season. She will be making her debut with the London Philharmonic Orchestra this weekend and her US debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in March. Following on from her critically acclaimed disk, “1948”, with Petr Limonov, Laura will also be recording her first orchestral disk in June. This will include Walton’s Cello Concerto, Bridge’s Cello Concerto ‘Oration’, and Thomas Adès’ Lieux Retrovés.

Upcoming dates in Laura’s diary include:
Sunday 19th January: Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in Eastbourne.

Thursday 14th, Friday 15th February: Wigmore Hall concerts with Tom Poster’s Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective.

Friday 20th March: Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Los Angeles.
