Lyric spinto soprano Elizabeth Llewellyn will make her debut in the title role of Verdi’s Luisa Miller, in a contemporary production directed by Barbora Horáková, winner in the Newcomer category at the 2018 International Opera Awards. Conducted by Alexander Joel, the cast includes Olafur Sigurdarson as Miller, David Junghoon Kim as Rodolfo, and Christine Rice as Federica.
Luisa Miller opens at the London Coliseum on Wednesday 12th February, running until 6th March. Following this, Elizabeth returns to Theater Bielefeld for performances of Verdi Requiem with the Bielefelder Philharmoniker, and sings Missa Solemnis with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre conducted by Richard Farnes.
