Following her acclaimed performance as Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen in 2016, Irish soprano Sinéad Campbell-Wallace returns to Lyric Opera, Ireland this month to sing Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. This will be Sinéad’s role debut as Leonore, following her transition into the dramatic soprano repertoire. Sinéad makes her debut at the Salzburg Festival this summer as 4th Maid ELEKTRA.
Marking the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, the production is directed by Vivian Coates and conducted by Toby Purser, and featuring a cast including Samuel Sakker and Gyula Nagy as Florestan and the evil Don Pizzaro.
Fidelio runs for two performances only, on 22nd and 23rd February.
