With just twenty-four hours notice, Viviane Hagner leapt to the rescue of the Cleveland Orchestra last Sunday in a concert at the Blossom Festival, replacing violinist Christian Tetzlaff who was forced to withdraw at short-notice due to travel difficulties. Despite an adventure-filled journey to Cleveland and very little rehearsal time, Hagner gave a stunning and impassioned performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Cleveland Orchestra under the baton of David Zinman, which was warmly received by both audience and critics alike (http://www.cleveland.com/musicdance/index.ssf/2011/08/student_partners_last-minute_m.html).

Hagner has since returned to Marlboro Music where she is currently mentoring on the chamber music course.
