The Toronto Symphony Orchestra has invited Matthew Halls to make his TSO debut with them after Jiří Bělohlávek unfortunately had to withdraw. Halls performs Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with soloists Erin Wall, Allyson McHardy, Joseph Kaiser and Shenyang, and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.

This marks Halls’ fourth appearance across the Atlantic in as many months, including performances with the Houston and Seattle Symphony Orchestras. Next month he travels to Germany where he conducts Fauré’s Requiem and Poulenc’s Stabat Mater with the Bremen Philharmonic and to Austria for Mozart’s version of Handel’s Messiah with the Tonkünstler-Orchester NÖ.
