llewellyn_gall_2.downloadThis week Welsh conductor Grant Llewellyn travels to Brittany to celebrate Celtic music. Joining together the two Celtic nations, Llewellyn conducts the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne in Rennes with violinist Rachel Barton-Pine and contemporary bagpiper Erwan Kerawec, in a programme including Mizesko Highland Suite, Bruch Scottish Fantasy, Mathias Celtic Dances, and Barton-Pine & Frazier Medley of Scottish Tunes for Violin and Bagpipes.

On a different note Llewellyn returns to the orchestra in June where he will conduct Tchaikovsky Symphony No.4 among others.
