Following his organ recital in Leipzig on 14 June, Masaaki prepares for his debut with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester performing Die Schöpfung at the 2014 International Bach Festival. Joined by Carolyn Sampson, James Gilchrist, Christopher Purves and the MDR Rundfunkchor, the conductor will take to the podium on 19 and 20 June.
Directly after his final performance Suzuki heads to Aldeburgh to take part in the 67th annual music festival. He gives two organ recitals at St Michaels Church, Framlingham on 25 and 26 June performing works including Sweelink, J.S. Bach and Buxtehude. On 28 June he will be found in the Iglesia de San Salvador in Granada exploring both J.S. and C.P.E. Bach.
