It has been a great start to the 2014-2015 season for baritone David Kempster. David, who is currently singing title role in David Pountney’s new production of Guillaume Tell for Welsh National Opera, has received a flurry of first-rate reviews since opening night two weeks ago.

His portrayal of Tell has been well received… ‘classy, smooth singing’ and ‘great tenderness and gravitas’ (Hugo Shirley, The Spectator and Anna Picard, The Times), ‘touchingly humane’ (Andrew Clements, the Guardian) and ‘one of the best of Wales’s current splendid crop of bass baritones, made a fine, heroic figure’ (Simon Rees, Bachtrack).

Further performances at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff and on tour. October 4th, 18th and 20thand November 15th, 22nd and 29th.
