On 11th October Grant Llewellyn is joined by Roderick Williams, Robin Tritschler, Thomas Trotter, the BBC Singers and BBC National Chorus of Wales performing Richard Elfyn Jones’ Brangwyn Festival Overture alongside John Corigliano’s epic A Dylan Thomas Trilogy. This marks the first of four appearances with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales throughout October.
He returns to the Swansea Festival on 17 October for the Family Concert and then back to Cardiff for the Halloween Spooktacular performance, in collaboration with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, on the 26th. Conducting Andrew Lewis’ Fern Hill, Elgar’s Cello Concerto, Mark-Anthony Turnage’s When I Woke and Daniel Jones’ Symphony No.4 he takes to the podium at the Prichard-Jones Hall in Bangor on 30 October with Thomas Carroll and Roderick Williams.
