Benjamin Grosvenor’s most recent recording Dances has been awarded with a BBC Music Magazine Award in the Instrumental category, adding to a Diapason d’Or already won in Autumn 2014. The magazine writes: “His Dances CD breathes the air of another age of piano recitals, where Baroque dances rubbed shoulders with Romantic miniatures and virtuoso extemporisations.”

The disc has picked up five-star reviews all over the world, and been referred to as a “marvel” (Diapason), “pure magic” (Sinfini Music) and “a revelation and [setting] a new standard” (American Record Guide) confirming Benjamin’s status as “one of the best young pianists” (Sonntagszeitung Zürich).

Benjamin responds to the praise: “It’s most gratifying to have all of the hard work recognised in this way, and I’m pleased and relieved to know that people have enjoyed listening to it.”
