JM Barrie’s enchanting story, composed by Richard Ayres, is now a major opera. Keith Warner’s inventive new production, his first for Welsh National Opera, promises to be an exciting evening. Conducted by Erik Nielsen, the cast of WNO’s Peter Pan includes two Hazard Chase artists: Soprano Marie Arnet as Wendy and tenor Mark Le Brocq as Smee.
Peter Pan opens at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff on Saturday 16 May with further performances in Cardiff on May 23 and 31. The production heads to Birmingham Hippodrome on June 11 and to the Royal Opera House, London on July 24 and 25.
