Hazard Chase’s core business is client management, with a roster of prestigious international artists, including conductors, singers, instrumentalists, choirs, ensembles and composers, receiving an intensive personal management service. Touring and project management have also become significant areas of activity with a well-deserved reputation for the quality and breadth of work undertaken.
The company was incorporated in 1990 as a joint venture between James Brown, then a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and N.W. Brown and Company, a diversified financial services group with interests in classical music. In 1997 Hazard Chase acquired the business of Magenta Music International and in 1999 the board concluded a management buyout from N.W. Brown.
Hazard Chase is based in Cambridge and London.

Hazard Chase has supported Pancreatic Cancer UK since 2009, promoting and facilitating fundraising concerts, and contributing management time and expertise to assist with the development of the charity.
Hazard Chase has created seven highly successful concerts to date, in Cadogan Hall, Middle Temple Hall, the Temple Church and the Royal Festival Hall to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Both Royal Festival Hall concerts were broadcast in the UK on Classic FM. In total, more than £140,000 has been raised directly, with more from related activities. Numerous clients have donated their services to make these concerts possible and we are enormously grateful for their generous support.
Pancreatic is the most lethal cancer, with fewer than 5% of those diagnosed living for five years or more – a figure that has barely improved in forty years. Increased funding for research aimed at earlier diagnosis is a priority, as at present pancreatic cancer only receives 1% of the National Cancer Research Institute Partners’ total research spend.
Pancreatic Cancer UK was founded only in 2006 and has made rapid progress, becoming the recognised national charity for support and information, campaigning and research.
SOS Children’s Villages
Hazard Chase has supported SOS Children’s Villages since 2006. The charity, founded in 1949, works with families in 125 countries, ensuring the safety of their children, and providing long-term family care for over 60,000 children who can no longer stay at home. They work extremely hard to provide quality education for the children, along with a healthcare system which also supports the local community. Support comes to the charity in various forms, one being the sponsorship of a child.
Hazard Chase has sponsored a child originally from Ghana since she was a little girl. Now a young lady starting university to study medicine, she has benefited hugely from the support of her SOS family and friends, and can now fulfil her dream of attending university to further her education. Supporting her throughout her life so far has been extremely rewarding for us, and we are so proud of her success and determination. We very much look forward to hearing all about her time at university!
