About Us
Hazard Chase was incorporated in 1990 as a joint venture between James Brown, then a member of the London Philharmonic, and N.W. Brown and Company, a diversified financial services group with a strong commitment to the music industry. In 1997 Hazard Chase acquired the business interests of Magenta Music International, another leading artist agency and in 1999, James Brown and John Willan (the latter assuming the role of Chairman after previous senior posts with EMI, the London Philharmonic and the BBC) led a management buyout from N.W. Brown. The company is based in Cambridge and also has offices in Covent Garden, London.
The core business remains client management, with a roster of prestigious international artists, including conductors, singers, instrumentalists, choirs, ensembles and composers, receiving an intensive personal management service. Touring and project management have also become significant areas of activity, with a well-deserved reputation for the quality and breadth of work undertaken.
