The Board of Directors

Patrick Allen

Patrick Allen read Electroacoustics at the University of Salford and trained with BBC TV and Radio. He has over 20 years experience of acoustics and professional music recording.
He is Managing Director of Cass Allen Associates Ltd, an acoustic design consultancy firm and also Opera Omnia Productions, an audio and visual arts production company. He has recently joined Orchid Music Group as a director.

Patrick is also a photographer and composer and has scored film and theatre productions, including the UK premiere of Arthur Miller's "Two Way Mirror". He has played keyboards in a number of bands over the years and regularly plays live in London and the South East.

Patrick is married with two daughters and lives in Bedfordshire.

Michael Berman

Michael Berman has the background of a successful entrepreneur involved in early stage technology companies, initially with two of his own, and subsequently helping others to build flourishing and valuable businesses.

He is also a passionate musician with many years experience as a choral conductor; and in 2002 he was one of the founders of Southbank Sinfonia, now in it’s tenth year, which provides an intensive one year orchestral experience for graduate musicians as a bridge to the profession.

Michael is a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School and has a Doctorate in Engineering.

Peter How

Peter How has been a non-executive director of Hazard Chase since 2000, and in his career has been Chairman of How Group plc, President of Genie Climatique International and a member of the Chairman's Circle at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.  He is interested in helping budding young musicians reach their potential and enjoys music, opera and travel.

Sibylle Jackson (Director: Artist Management)

Liz Jones BA, ACIS

Liz became a Director of Hazard Chase in 1998, subsequently participating in the management buyout from NWBrown and has continued to serve as a non-executive director since returning to her freelance career. Armed with a degree in French and Italian from London University, she started her working life at Air France then moved to Harrison/Parrott. Initially organising artists' travel schedules, she later became Associate Director in charge of Administration, taking responsibility in particular for IT systems and HR. During this time Liz passed examinations to become a Chartered Secretary, a qualification covering business, company law, corporate governance and finance. She also served for a year as Honorary Treasurer of the International Artist Managers' Association. Liz now works as a freelance consultant, specialising in helping small businesses to stabilise and grow. She is an enthusiastic member of the concert audience and also spends much of her free time travelling - most recently on foot on the West Highland Way!
