Vincent Ordonneau

Vincent Ordonneau originally trained as a chartered engineer in electronics and Data Processing and subsequently made his operatic debut at the Opéra de Lyon in 1995.  He has since appeared at the Wildbad Rossini Festival, and at the Théâtre du Châtelet and Opéra Comique in Paris.

Operatic repertoire includes The Four servants Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Basilio Le Nozze di Figaro (Opéra de Marseille), Remendado Carmen (Opéra de Nancy), Ferrando Cosi fan tutte (Centre de Formation de l’Opéra de Paris), Vincent Mireille, Borsa Rigoletto, Oreste La Belle Hélène, L’Heure Espagnole with Plasson in Tokyo and Almaviva Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Lyon.  Engagements with Opéra de Montpellier have included Almaviva, Babylas in Offenbach’s Monsieur Choufleuri, 1st Jew Salome, as well as creating the role of Pendu in Detlev Glanert’s Trois Enigmes.  Vincent also appeared in The Cradle will Rock for Opéra de Lille.

Concert engagements include Rodolphe in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell with Pappano in Rome, Saint-Saens Oratorio de Noel, Messiah and St John Passion on tour with L’Orchestre de Picardie (Pascal Verrot), Bach Mass in B Minor in Lyon, Mozart Requiem in Lyon and Greece, Tristan in Frank Martin’s Le Vin Herbé, Haydn Creation in Roanne and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle.  Recordings include Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti with L’Orchestre de Picardie.

In 2007/2008 Vincent sang Dandolo in Hérold’s Zampa for the Opéra Comique with William Christie and Torquemada L’Heure Espagnole with Julia Migenes at the Centre Lyrique d’Auvergne, a series of Cole Porter Concerts on tour with Kim Criswell and Pascal Verrot (50 Million Frenchmen, Dubarry was a Lady) and Goro Madama Butterfly in Antibes. Vincent Ordonneau is also a member of Les Soloistes de Lyon-Bernard Tétu, with whom he regularly performs in concert throughout France and elsewhere in Europe.

Engagements in 2008/2009 include concert performances of Honneger's Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher with Pappano for the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and Remendado in a new production of Carmen at the Opéra Comique with Sir John Eliot Gardiner.  He will make his debut as Remendado at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in the 2009/2010 season.
