Endellion String Quartet

The Endellion String Quartet are thrilled to be returning to the elegant and historic Guildhall where they have played many times for the Bath Festival and always enjoyed the warmth and enthusiasm of Bath audiences.

An exploration of the quartet repertoire as it evolved from classicism to romanticism, this series features three key works by Haydn alongside the popular Razumovsky quartets of Beethoven. It also includes Mozart’s intense K.421 quartet dedicated to Haydn, Mendelssohn’s very last complete work, and Schubert’s ever popular, highly emotionally charged ‘Death and the Maiden’ quartet.
