Ilan Eshkeri
Ilan is a classically trained film composer who is equally at home with both orchestral and contemporary film music. He is currently scoring Decameron: Angels & Virgins directed by David Leland, produced by Dino DeLaurentiis, starring Hayden Christensen Mischa Barton and Tim Roth. Prior to this he scored the box office hit Layer Cake, Matthew Vaughn's directorial debut. Their collaboration is set to continue this year on Vaughn's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantasy adventure Stardust. Other recent projects include completing Michael Kamen's posthumous score for the animated adventure Boo, Zino & The Snurks and was also invited by Hans Zimmer to compose some additional music for Nick Park's Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
Ilan was recently nominated in the category of Discovery of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards for Layer Cake. Last year he was put forward for an Ivor Novello award for his score to the flagship BBC documentary Colosseum.
Ilan has learned his craft with some of the most highly regarded composers in the industry, including writing additional music for Hans Zimmer on Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down and arranging for Michael Kamen on Kevin Costner's Open Range.
