Brodsky Quartet takes up residency at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama

Royal Scottish Academy of Music and DramaWe are pleased to announce that the first International Chair for String Quartet at the RSAMD will be the internationally renowned Brodsky Quartet.

The Brodsky Quartet launch their four year association with the RSAMD on Friday 2 November 2007 with a lunchtime concert.

Commenting on their commitment to the Academy, the Brodsky Quartet said: "We are tremendously excited about our forthcoming relationship with the Academy.  It's been a while since we had a residency of this sort and we feel sure that with the help of the wonderful students and staff we can create some magic together".

This relationship will not only provide students with a unique educational experience, but it will also present Glasgow audiences with the opportunity to see the Brodsky Quartet regularly on stage at the RSAMD.

During the coming Academic year the Quartet will work with many of the music students and teaching staff in a variety of performance settings.
