International award-winning pianist Serhiy Salov joins the City of London Sinfonia, under the baton of Andreas Delfs, to perform Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto, Mozart’s Haffner Symphony and the too rarely heard masterpiece Chamber Symphony by Franz Schreker.

Ukrainian-born, Québec-based pianist Salov, the 2004 winner of the Montreal International Musical Competition, amongst many such prizes, has been called “a true sculptor of sound”, possessing a rare ability to create colours and moods at the piano with a virtually infallible technique. This concert coincides with the release of his new recital album on Analekta.

Esteemed German conductor, Andreas Delfs, has held chief artistic posts with several distinguished institutions both in North America and Europe and has worked with some of the world’s finest musicians. He is presently Conductor Laureate of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

The concert is being held at Cadogan Hall on Wednesday  28th April 2010 at 19:30, with a pre-concert talk at 18:45. Please call 020 7730 4500 for tickets or go to www.cadoganhall.com for more information.
